The climate of Malaysia is typically tropical where the weather is humid throughout the year with occasional rainfalls. The first half of the year are usually drier than the second half when the there are more rain. There are unique towns in each of the states in the country like Ipoh, George Town, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Shah Alam, Miri and Kota Bahru, among many.

In terms of people, the society is very much a multi-cultural one where the Malays make up 70% of the population with another 20% Chinese, 8% Indian and the rest are from other groups.
