KUALA LUMPUR: Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) has classified the defamation case linking former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob to an attack on Rafizi Ramli’s son as “No Further Action” (NFA), following an investigation into the allegations.
According to sources, the police found no substantial evidence to support claims that Ismail Sabri was directly linked to the attack. The NFA decision indicates that no further action will be taken against the former Prime Minister regarding the matter.
Political observers said the NFA decision may ease political tensions arising from the defamation claims, while stressing the importance of transparent investigations to protect the reputations of individuals involved. They also highlighted that the dissemination of false information should be addressed firmly to prevent any public trust crisis.
