Izham Says He Was Abused Online, Branded “Raised by Pork Tycoons”

KUALA LUMPUR : Political figure Izham has revealed that he has been subjected to intense online abuse, including being accused of being “raised by pork tycoons”, following his stance on certain public policy and governance issues.

Izham said the attacks went beyond political disagreement and crossed into personal insults with racial and religious undertones, aimed at discrediting him as a Malay Muslim leader.

“Many are not offering arguments, only insults. Some even claim I was raised by pork tycoons. This is no longer political debate, but outright hatred,” he said when commenting on the matter.

He stressed that his views were driven by principles of good governance, fairness, and the interests of the wider public, and not influenced by any individual or business group as alleged by his critics.

Izham also expressed concern that the growing normalisation of slander and racially charged rhetoric in politics could damage public discourse and undermine social cohesion.

“I can accept criticism, but not insults rooted in race and religion. This is a dangerous culture if allowed to continue,” he added.

He called on all parties to engage in mature, fact-based discussions and to reject politics built on hatred and provocation.
