KUALA LUMPUR : Malaysian Indian People’s Party (MIPP) president Punithan Paramsivan has dismissed speculation of a rift within Perikatan Nasional (PN), insisting that the coalition remains stable and united despite recent political developments.
He said differences of opinion within a political alliance are normal and should not be misconstrued as signs of disunity or conflict.
“Any coalition made up of several parties will naturally have varying perspectives. What is important is that discussions continue in a mature and constructive manner,” he said.
Punithan stressed that PN’s component parties are still committed to mutual cooperation and collective decision-making, adding that internal dialogue remains open and healthy.
He said the coalition’s focus remains on strengthening its organisational structure, enhancing grassroots engagement, and preparing for upcoming electoral challenges.
According to him, PN leaders continue to engage in regular discussions to resolve any issues and ensure that all parties remain aligned with the coalition’s shared objectives.
Punithan also urged party members and supporters not to be swayed by speculation or rumours, saying unity and discipline remain the cornerstone of PN’s political strategy.
Recent political developments have sparked debate over leadership dynamics within PN, but Punithan maintained that these matters are being handled responsibly through established party mechanisms.
