PM Anwar Receives ‘Order of the Republic’, Türkiye’s Highest Honour

The Prime Minister expressed his deep gratitude and humility upon receiving the honour, describing the recognition as a great privilege and a testament to the strong and enduring friendship between Malaysia and Türkiye.
He said the award was not only a personal honour but also a reflection of the close diplomatic ties and mutual respect shared by both nations. The Prime Minister added that the recognition would further strengthen Malaysia’s commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation with Türkiye across various sectors, including trade, investment, education and people-to-people exchanges.
According to him, Malaysia remains steadfast in its support for constructive international engagement and values its strategic partnership with Türkiye, which has continued to grow over the years. He also acknowledged the role played by both governments in fostering collaboration based on shared principles and common interests.
The Prime Minister made the remarks after being conferred the ‘Order of the Republic’, Türkiye’s highest state honour, during an official ceremony in Ankara, underscoring the significance of the award in reinforcing diplomatic relations between the two countries.
