PM Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife have conveyed their prayers and well wishes for Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s speedy recovery.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN) in the capital at 9.30am today after he was reported to have fallen at his residence.

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, have offered prayers for the well-being and speedy recovery of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who is currently receiving treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN).

“My wife Azizah and I pray for Tun’s health and a speedy recovery, God willing,” he said in a Facebook post.

The former prime minister was admitted to IJN at 9.30am today after reportedly falling at his residence.

Dr Mahathir’s press secretary, Sufi Yusoff, confirmed the matter through an announcement on the official Dr M Media Updates group on WhatsApp. He said the 100-year-old leader was rushed to IJN by ambulance and was reported to be conscious.
