Prime Minister explains delay in policy rollout, citing ministry’s advice.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has revealed that he had intended to implement a key policy this year, but was advised by the relevant ministry to delay it.

Speaking to the media, the PM said the decision to postpone was made to ensure proper preparation and avoid disruption. “I wanted to make it mandatory this year, but the ministry suggested we proceed cautiously,” he explained.

The policy, which affects children’s education, has been the subject of public discussion. Authorities emphasized that thorough planning and consultation with stakeholders are necessary before nationwide implementation.

Observers note that while the Prime Minister’s intention reflects urgency, the ministry’s caution highlights the importance of balancing swift action with careful planning to ensure the policy’s effectiveness.
