KUALA LUMPUR : Communications and Digital Minister Saifuddin Nasution has requested PKR leader Rafizi Ramli to keep the details of an attack on his son strictly confidential, citing concerns over privacy and the sensitive nature of the incident.

The minister said that while the attack has raised public concern, sharing specifics publicly could compromise the safety of his family and hinder ongoing investigations. “This is a personal matter, and I urge all parties to respect our privacy and allow the authorities to carry out their work,” he said.

Saifuddin added that the police have already launched an investigation into the incident and that appropriate action will be taken once the facts are verified. He emphasized that any dissemination of details without consent could have serious repercussions.

The minister’s request comes amid growing scrutiny of safety issues affecting families of public figures, highlighting the need for discretion and careful handling of sensitive information. Rafizi confirmed that he will comply with the minister’s request and has pledged not to disclose any details.
